Coaching in Connacht
Connacht Squash places a very high priority on coaching especially for junior players.
The current resident coach is Paul Bell (Tel. 085-1257692).
He is also the Regional Development Officer (RDO).
Paul is a highly experienced Level 3 UKCC coach.
Paul coaches in Galway Lawn Tennis Club, in Sligo Tennis Club and in Claremorris.
Connacht Squash also run a Mini Squash programme in Schools in Galway and Sligo on behalf of the Irish Sports Council and Irish Squash who provide the funding for this initiative.
Irish Squash is currently developing a new Level 1 Coaching course in order to significantly increase the cohort of qualified coaches available in clubs throughout the country. It is hoped to run the first courses using the new syllabus shortly.
