Connacht Squash

SQUASH IN THE GALWAY LAWN TENNIS CLUB (GLTC)
The Squash Committe is elected by the players each season and is tasked with running various events both internal and external.
The 2010 AGM of the Squash Section was held on Tuesday April 13 and the following officers were elected:
Squash Captain: Andre Davies
Secretary: Aidan Power
Treasurer: Jim Hynes
Junior Rep: Edwin Brennan
Committee: Pat Hanley, Conor O'Shea, Seamus Davey, Dominic Egan, Cormac McMahon, Kul Singh.

A monthly ladder runs on three successive Tuesday nights from September to April and usually attracts upwards of 80 players.
Four Blitz's are run throughout the season - usually on the fourth Tuesday of a month when there is no ladder.
Some of the external competitions include:

• Connacht Junior Open
• Connacht Masters Open
• The Irish Junior Open
• The Connacht Senior Closed
• The West Of Ireland Open (PSA event)
